LTC (R) Jamar L. Gailes, MBA/MPA
Jamar Gailes is a 28-year U.S. Armed Forces veteran, having served in the Louisiana National Guard, U.S. Army Reserves, and on active duty—including deployments in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Pentagon in 2019.
Since retirement, Jamar has held leadership roles across multiple federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, USDA, and currently serves as Deputy Director of Workforce Relations at the CDC.
He holds a BA in Political Science from Grambling State University, an MBA in Public Administration from Northcentral University and a Certificate in Negotiations from the Harvard Law School of Negotiations in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In 2005, he founded The Gailes Group, LLC (TGG)—a consulting and training provider firm specializing Leadership, Team Building and Resilience.
Jamar is a sought-after motivational speaker and is deeply involved in nonprofit work focused on mentorship, community development, and paying it forward.
He is a proud father and grandfather, and much of his life’s work is inspired by the legacy of his late wife, Jennifer Kirk Gailes.
